What do you need to become a programmer

First, I would recommend that you familiarize yourself with what programming is in practice. So that you can verify that this is the domain for you. You can find my article about what programming without cotton-wrapping looks like here.
While researching this article, I got to know hundreds of stories of programmers around the world, if you don’t take what I’m writing on faith, just check it on the internet. Let’s go to what you need to become a programmer.

What you don’t need

Above all, excuses. It doesn’t matter if you have a university degree if you were good at high school math (I wasn’t). How old you are. In what family you grew up. How old you are. or what gender you are. Of course, everyone has a different background, different predispositions, interests, and motivations. Therefore, each path is different. The important thing is whether you take your fate into your own hands. Stop making excuses and start learning. Everything about what, when, and how to learn can be found primarily on the Internet, but not only.

What you need

Above all, skills and the right attitude. Both of these factors can be derived from the knowledge that you will get a good dose later in this blog. As for math, just to clear up any doubts. In line with the saying that “mathematics is the queen of science,”. As well as in many other fields, you will find the basis of this field in programming. On the other hand, programming is a vast field present in almost all branches of the economy. Advanced math knowledge is essential in some places, while in others a complete foundation is enough. In 98% of cases, complete basic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are enough. Throughout my career, I have used an additional algorithm to solve one problem. Of course, there are areas such as scientific research, AI, or games, where even advanced mathematics or physics are often required. However, these are completely different pairs of wellies and anyway, many solutions have already been written. Plus Many concepts in programming come straight from mathematics, but there are also things from architecture or even biology.

Becoming a programmer requires knowledge

As a rule, it is not rocket science, certainly not on a junior or medium level, so don’t be scared. The rest of the stuff can be learned as you progress through your career. Acquiring knowledge and skills requires patience. You don’t usually become a programmer overnight. Give yourself at least 3 months. Becoming an expert in this trade, as in any other profession, will require passion. If you are a person who loves to create new things, solve logical problems, hug intellectual effort. She is not frightened by new challenges and the vision that she will never know everything about a given field; and can persevere in its resolutions and is determined to devote part of her life to working on the computer, the future in this industry is open to you.

How much time does it take to become a programmer

The only right answer is it depends. Each person is different, has a different background, and different motivations.
I haven’t researched how long it took for record-holders to find a job since writing the first line of code or what the average is because, in my opinion, it doesn’t make sense.

Summary

You become a programmer as soon as you can acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become a programmer. I will write about the exact paths of development and the details of the knowledge that needs to be acquired in the future. For now one of the sources that I can recommend is my instagram where I share many basic programming concepts.
